Passing within 200m of the Nicholson Hotel is the East Gippsland Rail Trail. The Trail follows the old railway line for 94 kms from Bairnsdale to Orbost and crosses an old wooden railway bridge over the Nicholson River near the Nicholson Hotel. Stop at the Hotel overnight, for lunch or a refreshing drink.
